Departure from Marrakech at 8:00 AM in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n'Tichka pass. Visit the Telouet Kasbah, then explore the magnificent Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Lunch in Ouarzazate, facing the Taourirt Kasbah. In the afternoon, drive through the Anti-Atlas mountains to Agdz to admire the splendid Draa Valley and its vast palm groves. Arrival in Zagora in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for Tamegroute, famous for its traditional green pottery and Quranic library. Continue to M'Hamid, the last village before the vast Sahara Desert. After lunch, head off-road through the dunes to the majestic Erg Chigaga. Settle into the luxury camp, enjoy a sunset camel ride, a traditional Moroccan dinner, and a lively evening around the campfire with Berber music, followed by a night under the starry sky.
An early start to admire the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, set off across desert tracks, passing the dried-up Lake Iriki and Foum Zguid, and following a section of the old Paris-Dakar rally route. Continue to Taznakht—renowned for its handcrafted Berber carpets—before arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
